CRM | JobTread Integration

How to connect JobTread so every call Rosie answers is logged on the right customer automatically.

A customer calls, Rosie answers, and you get the details by text or email — but JobTread has no idea the call happened. If JobTread is where you run your jobs and customers, that's a gap you end up filling in by hand, or not at all.

Connect JobTread to Rosie and every call logs itself. Rosie recognizes callers who are already in your customer contacts, adds a new customer the first time someone gets in touch, and posts each conversation as a comment on that customer. Texts and website chats get logged too.

Setup takes a couple of minutes and it's included on every Rosie plan.

How It Works

  1. Connect JobTread from the Integrations page in Rosie.

  2. When a call ends, Rosie searches your customer contacts for the caller's phone number.

  3. If she finds them, she uses the customer that contact belongs to. If nobody matches, she adds a new customer with a customer contact under it.

  4. The conversation is posted as a comment on that customer, with a summary of what was discussed and a link back to the full call details in Rosie.

That's it. There's nothing else to configure in JobTread and nothing new to teach Rosie.

Connecting JobTread

Heads up: your customer contacts need a Phone Number custom field before this will work — that's the field Rosie matches callers against. Most accounts already have one. You can check in JobTread under Settings → Custom Fields. If yours doesn't have one, add it first, then come back and connect.

  1. In JobTread, go to Settings → Integrations → API and create a new grant key. Copy the key right away — JobTread shows it once and won't show it again.

  2. In Rosie, go to Integrations and select JobTread.

  3. Paste the grant key and select Connect.

That's the only thing you need to enter. Rosie works out your organization from the key, finds the phone fields on your customer contacts on her own, checks everything on the spot, and starts logging new calls right away.

What Gets Logged

Calls — every call Rosie answers becomes a comment on the customer, with a summary of the conversation and a link to the full details in your Rosie dashboard. The comment is internal, so your customers and vendors never see it.

Texts and website chats — each conversation gets logged as its own comment, updated as the conversation goes on — one comment per conversation.

New callers — the first time someone gets in touch, Rosie adds a new customer with a customer contact under it, named and filled in with their phone number. If a caller doesn't share their name, you still get the record — both are saved as "Unknown Caller" with their phone number.

Names Rosie learns later — if a caller gives their name on a later call, Rosie adds it to the customer contact when that contact has no name yet. She doesn't rename the customer, so a customer created as "Unknown Caller" keeps that label until you change it in JobTread.

Existing contacts — Rosie matches by phone number, so there are no duplicates. She fills in a missing name on the contact, and she never overwrites information you already have.

Disconnecting

You can disconnect anytime from the Integrations page — open JobTread and select Disconnect. Rosie stops recognizing your customers and logging conversations immediately. Everything she's already added to JobTread stays right where it is, and you can reconnect later.

FAQs

Which JobTread plan do I need?
Any of them. JobTread sells one plan with everything included, and that covers the connection.

Rosie said JobTread has no phone field. What do I do?
Rosie matches callers by phone number, so she needs a Phone Number custom field on your customer contacts. Add one in JobTread under Settings → Custom Fields, then reconnect.

My grant key was rejected. What happened?
Two usual causes: the key got cut off when it was copied, or it's old enough that JobTread has retired it. Creating a fresh grant key and reconnecting fixes both.

Rosie said my key reaches more than one organization. What do I do?
Rosie logs to one JobTread organization at a time, and when a key reaches several she can't tell which one holds your customers. She'll name the organizations she found — email us at support@heyrosie.com and tell us which one to use, and we'll set it on our side.

Where exactly does the call show up?
As an internal comment on the customer. Open the customer in JobTread and it's right there with the rest of their comments.

Does the call get attached to the job?
No. Comments go on the customer, not on a specific job, because Rosie has no way to know which of your jobs the call was about.

What happens if the caller is already in my JobTread?
Rosie finds them by phone number and posts the conversation to their existing customer — no duplicate records.

Rosie created a new customer for someone I already have. Why?
JobTread matches phone numbers exactly, so a number stored in a format Rosie doesn't recognize won't be found. She checks the same number written as +15551234567, 5551234567, and (555) 123-4567. If your numbers are stored some other way, or if the number lives on a field that isn't a Phone Number custom field, she'll add a new customer instead. You can merge the records in JobTread.

Does Rosie log email addresses?
Not in this version. She writes names and phone numbers only.

Can Rosie book jobs or appointments in JobTread?
No — this integration logs calls, texts, chats, and customers. Appointment booking works through your connected calendar, same as always.

Can I connect more than one CRM?
One CRM per Rosie account. If you switch CRMs, disconnect the old one first.

Does this cost extra?
No. CRM integrations are included on every Rosie plan.
