A customer calls, Rosie answers, and you get the details by text or email — but Follow Up Boss has no idea the call happened. If Follow Up Boss is where you work your leads and clients, that's a gap you end up filling in by hand, or not at all.
Connect Follow Up Boss to Rosie and every call logs itself. Rosie recognizes callers who are already in your people, adds a person for first-time callers, and logs each call on the right one. Texts and website chats get logged too.
Setup takes a couple of minutes and it's included on every Rosie plan.
How It Works
Connect Follow Up Boss from the Integrations page in Rosie.
When a call ends, Rosie looks the caller up in Follow Up Boss by phone number.
If they're already in your people, the call is logged on them. If they're new, Rosie adds them first.
The call appears on the person's timeline as an incoming call, with a summary of what was discussed and a link back to the full call details in Rosie.
That's it. There's nothing else to configure in Follow Up Boss and nothing new to teach Rosie.
Connecting Follow Up Boss
Heads up: create the API key as the account owner or an admin. A key made by an agent can only see that agent's people, so Rosie would miss the rest of your account.
In Follow Up Boss, go to Admin → API and select Create API Key. Name it Rosie.
Copy the key right away — Follow Up Boss shows it only once.
In Rosie, go to Integrations and select Follow Up Boss.
Paste the API key and select Connect. Rosie checks the key on the spot and starts logging new calls right away.
What Gets Logged
Calls — every call Rosie answers becomes a logged incoming call on the person in Follow Up Boss, with how long it lasted, a summary of the conversation, and a link to the full details in your Rosie dashboard. If the call has a recording, it's attached and playable for 30 days.
Texts and website chats — each conversation gets logged as a note, updated as the conversation goes on — one note per conversation.
New callers — first-time callers are added as new people automatically, with their name and phone number filled in. Rosie sends them in as an incoming call, so Follow Up Boss runs its own duplicate check before anything is created. If a caller doesn't share their name, you still get the person — they come in as "Unknown Caller" with their phone number, and Rosie fills in the real name if they give it on a later call.
Existing people — Rosie matches by phone number, so there are no duplicates. If a person is missing a name, Rosie fills it in. She adds an email address only when the record has none at all, and she never touches the phone numbers already on it.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect anytime from the Integrations page — open Follow Up Boss and select Disconnect. Rosie stops logging immediately. Everything she's already added to Follow Up Boss stays right where it is.
FAQs
Which Follow Up Boss plan do I need?
Any of them. API keys come with every current Follow Up Boss plan.
My key was rejected. What do I check?
Two things: that the whole key made it across when you copied it, and that it was created by the account owner or an admin rather than an agent.
My connection stopped working. What happened?
Almost always the key was deleted in Follow Up Boss. Create a new one under Admin → API and reconnect in Rosie.
How long are call recordings available?
The recording is playable for 30 days. The call summary and details stay on the person permanently.
What happens if the caller is already in my Follow Up Boss?
Rosie finds them by phone number and logs the call on their existing record — no duplicate people.
Can Rosie book jobs or appointments in Follow Up Boss?
No — this integration logs calls, texts, chats, and people. Appointment booking works through your connected calendar, same as always.
Can I connect more than one CRM?
One CRM per Rosie account. If you switch CRMs, disconnect the old one first.
Does this cost extra?
No. CRM integrations are included on every Rosie plan.
