Having trouble getting Rosie to answer your FAQs the way you intended? Learn how to optimally format them and what type of information works best so that the Rosie AI can learn the perfect responses

Updated over a week ago

Rosie AI loves to learn about your business so it can help your customers but just like any employee Rosie needs a little bit of onboarding and training about your business. If you find Rosie isn't answering your FAQs the way you expected, read our best practices below to help your Rosie agent learn how to answer your FAQs for your customers.

FAQ Best Practices

If you're ever unsure about how to train Rosie, just reach out via our customer service chat and a member of the Rosie team will be happy to help you optimize your Rosie agent!

What information works well in my FAQ section for Rosie?

  • In general if you have an FAQ section on your site or in a business pamphlet, you can copy those directly into a document for upload (see Formatting Tips below for additional help!) or copy and paste into the manual add. Rosie will identify when asked these questions and repeat back your answers word for word.

  • We also recommend adding information such as service areas or holiday hours to your FAQ area.

What shouldn't I put in my FAQs?

  • We do not recommend inputting entire urls into your FAQs (eg. https://heyrosie.com) as Rosie will read them letter by letter. Instead we recommend putting an answer such as "Visit the Pricing page on our website for detailed plan information" or writing the URL phonetically such as: hey rosie dot com

  • We do not recommend attempting to add complex systems such as a schedule via the manual FAQ section, instead upload your schedule as a separate training document

Formatting Tips

If you are entering your FAQs manually via the admin UI

  • Enter your FAQs just as you would if a human was going to read them on your website, using clear and concise language

  • If your FAQ seems complex (see examples below in 'What shouldn't I put in my FAQs?'), consider uploading it as a separate training document in non-FAQ format for best results

If you are uploading your FAQs as a training document

  • We recommend uploading a document with clearly labeled Questions and Answers formatted as either:

Question: How do I format a Rosie FAQ?
    Answer: Like this!

    or

Q: Does this format work too?
    A: Yes, it will!

  • There is no limit to how long this document can be, or how many FAQs Rosie can answer for your business
